|
Heating a concrete slab from cold takes a relatively long time, at least several hours possibly even 10hrs or more, but once at operating temperature, it will radiate heat consistently. For this reason, in-slab heating is generally best suited to buildings with permanent or high occupancy. Used in conjunction with a natural gas boiler, home heating with hydronic (water-filled) heating coils in the slab provides luxurious comfort. 20mm poly-pipe coils are laid throughout the concrete slab in separate "zones", during construction. Each zone can be later controlled independently to heat only the area(s) required. Warm water is circulated through the system of pipe work, the floor is heated and radiates warmth throughout the house. Please visit |
