Houston, TX (PRWEB) August 8, 2008

Custom Air Products’ revolutionary 40 ton portable air conditioning unit is custom designed to meet the cooling needs of each client individually. Whether one is working offshore or in disaster recovery, this high performance air conditioning unit instantly provides a comfortable work site environment through the continuous cooling of 100 percent outside air. Hot and humid outdoor air enters the air conditioner and is cooled down by up to 40 degrees before it is distributed to the work environment. The result is a cooler, more productive workplace.

“Many of our customers work in extreme temperature conditions,” said Taylor Norris, President of Custom Air Products and Services, Inc. “That’s why we are devoted to providing them with an instant, custom designed cooling solution with our 40 ton portable commercial air conditioners. The air outside might be 95 degrees, but when it comes out of our air conditioner, it is a nice, cool 55 degrees.”

This new, “green” refrigerant is environmentally friendly and more efficient in extreme environments than its predecessor, R-22. Additionally, these new R-410A units absorb heat better and run cooler than commercial air conditioners that use R-22. Finally, customers that operate this new 40 ton portable air conditioner experience a more efficient and more effective cooling experience.

Custom Air Products and Services, Inc. puts the “custom” in “customer” by focusing on their customers’ specific comfort and electrical requirements. Cool Technology Beats the Heat This Summer

Sacramento, CA (PRWEB) June 9, 2008

Staying cool in hot environments is “no sweat” according to Cooltech Marketing.com.

Soaring temperatures, rising utility rates, and inevitable power shortages are a triple threat to everyone this summer. In response, Cooltech Marketing, Inc. recently launched a new line of body cooling products using controlled temperature technology to comfortably maintain normal core body temperature under extreme heat stress conditions.

According to company founder and president Rebecca Lee, controlled temperature technology surpasses all other portable cooling products that use ice, frozen gel or evaporative cooling. The technology contains non-toxic, phase-change blends that set and hold preset temperatures for a predetermined time. While it absorbs energy at the same rate as water or gel, it releases it much more slowly–thus, stays cooler longer than ice or gel of the same volume or weight. Evaporative cooling garments are always damp against the skin, need warm, dry circulating air to be effective, and breed mildew, bacteria and odor. Not so with controlled temperature technology.

“The uses for–and benefits of–this technology are staggering,” Lee reports. “We saw a need so we expanded our product line to benefit more lives.” A few examples of the personal cooling items under four categories on Cooltech’s website http://www.CooltechMarketing.com include:

Sports & Leisure – Cool Seats, Helmet and Baseball Cap Coolers, which maintain a constant 80 degrees; Safety – Reflective Cool Vests, at 59 degrees; Law Enforcement – Body Amor Inserts, 59 degrees; and Canine – Canine Body Cooling Vests and Cool Mats, 65 degrees.

The same polymer that is used for vehicle air bags encapsulates the formula in cold packs. These removable cold packs energize in 30 minutes laying flat in a refrigerator. To hasten the process, or if energizing outdoors, the packs can be immersed in a chest of ice water.

Tests performed by the Air Force Operational Test & Evaluation Center (AFOTEC) and Alamo Research Laboratory revealed a 22 to 37 percent increase in alertness and productivity in heat stress environments using controlled temperature technology cooling products. They have been used by U.S. Armed Forces in the Middle East for well over a decade.

In 2003–when Lee began a search for a new and creative cooling technology–it was to develop a product that would keep wine at cellar temperatures throughout serving. She found exactly what she was looking for at the National Technology Transfer Center (NTTC), an interface among industry, academia and government agencies. Lee started her company– Cooltech Marketing, Inc.–with its premier offering, Wine by Degrees, dubbed a wine cellar in a sleeve. Still among Cooltech’s versatile product lineup, the decorative wine sleeves have three distinct temperatures–one each for white, red and sparkling wines.

“We’re having a little fun with our new product line,” Lee says. “Our SunLover’s Cool Mat™ as well as the Cool Seat are offered in a variety of lush and colorful native Hawaiian fabrics, exclusively created for us by our associate on the Big Island of Hawaii.” These creations appear on the website under A Cooler Hawaii.

Cooltech Marketing offers an affordable, portable and convenient solution to sweltering summer heat for consumers of all ages with innovative–and wearable–cooling products.

Cool Olympic Athletes Set to Fire Up In Beijing

Arctic Heat Cooling Vest

Westwood, NJ (PRWEB) May 7, 2008

The weather at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics is set to be even more extreme than the Athens games with temperatures expected to be over 85F (30C) combined with extremely high 90% humidity. Add in Beijing’s famous smog pollution and athletes competing outdoors will be under extreme stress. After 4 years of dedicated training to reach peak physical conditioning many Olympic athletes and their coaches have been worried about suffering from heat stress at that final critical moment.

Many lessons were learnt at the Athens games about how to tackle the heat. The solution to taming the fierce climatic conditions will again be the Arctic Heat cooling vest. The Arctic Heat cooling vest was used in the 2004 Athens games by athletes from many countries including the USA, China, Ireland, Netherlands, Germany, Hungary and Great Britain.

“Interest in the Arctic Heat Cooling Vest for the 2008 Olympics and Paralympics has come from all around the globe” says Dr Surie, President of Arctic Heat USA. “The cool vests are a must have item for athletes competing outdoors in Beijing.”

The ice cold vests sold by Arctic Heat USA allow athletes to train harder for longer, thus gaining an edge over the competition. Sports science has shown that by pre-cooling the body the effects of overheating can be delayed, thus providing a significant gain in performance. This means that pre-cooled competitors will sweat less, their heart rates are lower, and more energy can be directed towards producing personal bests rather than trying to keep the body cool.

The Aussies are set to get a jump on the competition. “Watch out for the Kool Kangaroos in Beijing.” jokes Dr Surie. “The Australian Olympic team is always regarded as one of the World leaders in Sports Science and we are very happy to be supplying their team with over 200 cooling vests in their national colors green/gold and featuring a kangaroo on the design.”

“Many Australian Olympic athletes who will be using the specially designed Arctic Heat Cooling Vest are now hoping for extremely hot weather in Beijing,” says Dr Surie. “They know that they will gain a substantial performance edge over their competitors not using the Arctic Heat cool vest.”

During the Olympic Games, the cooling vest will be worn pre-event by athletes in sports such as rowing, soccer (football), beach volleyball, hockey, modern pentathlon, triathlon, marathon, track and field athletics, canoe and kayak. A split second is often the difference between a Gold medal and no medal. The Arctic Heat Cooling vest could very well provide that difference.

The lightweight Arctic Heat Cooling vest works using a two stage cooling process. The vests contain a gel-like substance that can be frozen or chilled, and will maintain that temperature for up to 2 hours.

The Heat is on – Chris to Stay Cool – 2005 Race Across America

(PRWEB) June 14, 2005

The 2005 Race across America (RAAM), the World’s longest ultra-marathon cycling event begins this Sunday 19 June, an event sometimes referred to as the “World’s Toughest Race” or the “Tour de France – American style”

It is a 3049 mile race from San Diego to Atlantic City, across the United States on a bike – in eight days! To be competitive, the riders will have to stay on the bike for 21-22 hours a day. They will face 110,000 feet of climbing through the Rocky Mountains and have to overcome the brutal heat of the Mojave Desert.

Chris MacDonald, 32 from Mukilteo, Washington is one of the favorites for the race. An elite rower on the United States National team for four years and now a Physiologist, at the University of Copenhagen, Chris has an in-depth understanding about the physical requirements needed to complete such a grueling event.

Despite having to ride through the Mohave Desert where temperatures are likely to top 120°F, Chris expects to keep his cool. Preparation and planning for an event such as the RAAM is vitally important and Chris and his support crew have taken steps to counter the extreme heat. Research has led them to the Arctic Heat Cooling Vest, a product designed to allow athletes to pre-cool and to stabilize their core body temperature.

“There is no doubt that keeping the body temperature low and healthy using the Arctic Heat cooling vest, will be what makes the difference through the desert, and ultimately in the race.” said Chris MacDonald. The cooling vest can delay the effects of heat stress, reduce sweating rates, and allow the rider to worker harder for longer.

“We are really excited to have Chris MacDonald use our cool vests in the RAAM” said Arctic Heat’s Dr John Surie. “Our Arctic Heat cooling vests have previously been used to help athletes at the Athens Olympics and to assist the troops in Iraq, now we have the chance to help Chris stay cool during the World’s Hardest Sporting Event.”

Chris will have access to a wide range of Arctic Heat cooling products, some that have been made especially for the RAAM. When the heat is on in the desert, expect to see Chris keeping his cool with what is fast becoming this summer’s coolest item.

The lightweight Arctic Heat Cooling vest uses a two stage cooling process. The vests contain a gel-like substance that can be frozen or chilled, and will maintain that temperature for up to two hours. The cooling vests are manufactured using Woolmark’s Sportwool, a special body cooling fabric which incorporates Vapor Management Technology.

The Arctic Heat body cooling vest which is suitable for industrial, medical and sporting applications comes in a large range of sizes, retails for 4.95. It can be purchased online from Arctic Heat USA, www.arcticheatusa.com .

Swiss Team Stays Ice Cool at 2006 Soccer World Cup in Germany

Westwood, NJ (PRWEB) June 19, 2006

The action at the 2006 World Cup Soccer is hot, not just because the World’s best teams are on show, but due to the sizzling German Summer heat. With temperatures hovering in the 90s, players from some countries are struggling in the heat to run out a full game. But not everyone is concerned about the heat, some teams are actually using the hot conditions to get an edge over the competition by using the Arctic Heat Cooling Vest.

The Arctic Heat cooling vests are ideally suited to soccer by allowing players to pre-cool before the game and then aiding in recovery during half time. The cooling vest provides a proven athletic advantage in hot conditions.

The cool vests were used by the English and Uruguay National teams during the 2002 Soccer World Cup, and for the 2006 World Cup the Swiss and the Australian Soccer team have joined the list of elite sporting teams to use the product.

The Australian team in their first game finished all over the Japanese team. The Aussie team clearly looked fitter and had more energy during the last 10 minutes of the game.

“The Switzerland has some hot afternoon matches coming up and their team doctor Rudolf Roder is considering giving the players the Arctic Heat cooling vests even before the game, not just during the break, as he did in their first match against France. Said Dr John Surie, President Arctic Heat USA.

So no matter how hot the action gets on the pitch, expect the Swiss and Aussies teams to stay ice cool and full of running.

The lightweight Arctic Heat Cooling vest works using a two stage cooling process. The vests contain a gel-like substance that can be frozen or chilled, and will maintain that temperature for up to 2 hours. The cooling vests are manufactured using Woolmark’s Sportwool fabric which incorporates Vapor Management Technology.

The Arctic Heat USA body cooling vest which was used by the USA Olympics teams during the 2004 Olympics and is currently being used by the military in Iraq, comes in a large range of sizes and retails for 4.95. It can be purchased online from Arctic Heat USA www.arcticheatusa.com .

Advanced Technology Teams Up with Sportswear for a Cool Experience

Cooling Sportswear

Sacramento, CA (PRWEB) September 1, 2009

Today CooltechMarketplace.com launched three new Cooling Sportswear garments unique to the active wear industry–the Cooling Tee (T-Shirt for men and women), Cooling Sports Bra, and Cooling Cami (Camisole). Cooltech Marketing, Inc. believes its versatile sportswear containing lightweight, controlled temperature cool packs will appeal to diverse consumer groups–amateur and professional athletes who participate in everything from extreme sports to lunch-hour cardio workouts, sufferers of Multiple Sclerosis, women experiencing hot-flash symptoms of menopause, and those exposed or vulnerable to heat stress.

Cooltech’s sportswear garments are made of a high-wicking, highly breathable stretch fabric. They can be worn as either under or outer wear. Each garment contains inside pockets–one running horizontally across the chest and one vertically down the spine–into which cool packs are inserted. The non-toxic, non-flammable formula contained in the polymer cool packs, weighing 15 ounces in the women’s garments and 27.6 ounces in the Cooling Tee, is blended to set and hold a comfortable 58 Degrees F (14 Degrees C). Energizing the cool packs is quick and easy–30 minutes in the refrigerator or, to hasten the process, the packs can be immersed in ice water and ready in 15 minutes.

According to company founder and president Rebecca Lee, controlled temperature technology surpasses all other portable body cooling products that use ice, frozen gel or evaporative cooling. Because of its unique properties, the crystalline alkane blends not only cool longer than ice or gel of the same volume or weight but, more importantly, maintain a constant temperature from the beginning to the end of the cooling cycle. Evaporative cooling requires warm, dry circulating air to be effective. Garments are always damp against the skin, which breeds mildew, bacteria and odor. Not so with controlled temperature technology.

“Individuals suffering from Multiple Sclerosis–twice as many women as men–now have a more discreet, lightweight alternative to industrial-looking cooling vests,” Lee says. “Typically, cool packs in these phase change vests can weigh up to 6 pounds–that’s just too bulky and heavy to be comfortable.”

Another advantage of the lightweight cool packs–Cooltech’s new Cooling Sportswear is less than half the price of the cool vests.

Lee acknowledges that reducing the weight of the cool packs, by decreasing the volume of formula, sacrifices the longevity of the cooling properties. The new, lighter cool packs will last over two hours compared with the larger pack’s four hours. Lee isn’t concerned about this. “Two hours is enough time to win a race or free MS sufferers from the confines of their homes on a hot day.”

Cooltech Marketing offers affordable, convenient and innovative body cooling solutions for consumers of all ages.
